Mayweather: "Ricky Hatton is Getting Knocked Out!"

Right and you're also not taking into consideration that Oscar has never been a pressure fighter, and he uses his boxing skill to set up punches from the outside..........focusing on his defense first.
Hatton leads with his chin, and takes to give. I also don't know where you had to throw in the fact he fought "hall of famers" because that doesn't have anything to do with the basic action of being able to take a punch.
And Oscar wasn't only floored by Quartey........he was floored off a love tap from Hopkins, and several times early in his career by fighters who aren't close to being considered anywhere near elite.
I just don't understand how Oscar could be considered having a better chin than Hatton.........it doesn't make any sense especially seeing the difference in their respective fight styles.Comment

I'm worried that Mayweather may be too fast for him, but if Hatton's in his best shape PBF won't be able to escape him. But if Hatton's not 100% perfectly fit, Mayweather will win a decision.Comment

Gatti was supposed to go down long before that, fact is Mayweather has weak, fragile hands and he's too afraid to unleash at full throttle. Gatti got caught with everything, every punch in the book you name it. Mayweather throws arm punches that's why he can't knock anybody out, in the beginning of his career he was a KO artist but not anymore, Mayweather isn't knocking anybody out.Comment

It is possible for Hatton to defeat Mayweather, but requires that he be at his maximum strength and fitness level.Last edited by Steelhammer86; 08-01-2007, 06:49 PM.Comment

Don't get me wrong, I'm a Hatton supporter, but in the later rounds against Urango and Colazzo, Ricky seemed tired. He seemed more more energetic in his fight with Tszyu. He's always in very good shape, but to defeat someone as fast as Mayweather he has to be in great shape.
