No, he did not. If you watch the Gatti fight, you will see that PBF was on his toes. He was giving Gatti angles and pivoting the whole time. PBF was still concerned about catching a Ruelas-type punch.

They stopped the Gatti fight because Gatti was hurting badly and taking a lot of punishment. And gatti was sweeling badly and couldn't see.
