DIOS, i see your point regarding Mayweather's strength. You don't fight at 147 a few times, and then at 154 and still only have the strength of a lightweight. Mayweather will be strong - but i believe Hatton will be strong too.

Like all world class boxers you tend to have to get sparring partners the next weight division or two up from him. Steve Forbes sparred with Hatton for the Castillo fight and he commented that Hatton was a better boxer than people give him credit for and he was surprised by his intelligence and speed.

What many percieve as reckless fighting from Hatton the large part of it is methodical, planned and calculated. If he is losing the fight with his inside fighting he is capable of fighting on the outside and utilizing the jab. I agree his skills are not on the level of Mayweather but he will not be blown away and he might even outbox Mayweather for a round or two on the outside.

on the outside!!! i dont see it.
hatton in a small ring and a complying reff will win it with body shots and clutching on the inside imo.

So you think that Hatton, a world class boxer wouldn't win a single round boxing on the outside?

With Mayweather slightly worn down and Hatton working the jab a bit, he is capable of winning a round or two even against Mayweather - although of course inside fighting is his main form of attack.

He could have some success from the outside but working from there shoudn't be a significant part of his game plan.

Hatton has some good shot improvisation and I think he'll get a fair bit of success with his jab/uppercut hybrid from range. Uncertainty over whether he's going to double or triple up on the left hook should also keep Floyd a bit shy of using his counter right.

You guys are underestimating Floyd if you think Hatton has a shot on the inside. He isn't going to outbox Floyd like he did with Tackie and Oliviera. You guys are crazy!!!!

i didnt say that but it seems more likely hatton scores more on the inside.
yeah agree about the jab/uppercut after he wears mayweather down.

Bottom line, Hatton aint winning a single round if you think he can box like he did against Tackie and Olivieria. Those guys were brawlers. Those guys literally could not carry Floyd's jockstrap. And that is the truth.

Yeah, without doubt the inside is where he should be. I guess I'm just saying he doesn't need to fly straight at him every time and let Floyd start timing him on his way in. He does have the option to mix it up by working briefly from the outside before he comes in.
