This whole "Who has Ricky Hatton fought?" argument is getting boring now. Anyone can look at fighter's record and pick holes, as I mentioned in my last post, who cares? The fact is, if this fight happens its gonna be a good fight. I cant wait. If Hatton is beat easily, I will hold my hands up and admit defeat. But if Hatton wins I will ****in gloat and gloat - and you lot will make excuses.

Past fights are important because how else do you judge the best fighters who are most worthy to face each other??WHO ****IN CARES?? It doesn't matter who Ricky's best win was. No real boxing fan can compare Ricky's record to Floyd Mayweathers.
If you had quoted the rest of my post, the point I was trying to make was - when the bell rings and they are facing eachother, who cares about past fights? Its gonna be 2 fighters at their peak, who hate eachother. Anything can happen, thats the point that lots of people fail to grasp.
For example, an honest evaluation of Castillo's work over the past few years should have told us that he was badly faded. So, in a way, we "wasted" a big fight. Big fights are too infrequent and too important to waste on bad matchups. We know that FMJ isn't going to fight that many more fights....don't you want him to be REALLY tested before he checks out of the game?Comment

I agree, past fights are important as they can help judge who are worthy to face eachother. Fair enough. But if this fight is gonna happen, and it looks like it is gonna happen, whats the point of looking at past fights? Only an idiot would look at past fights and say "Well, Floyd beat him, who could whoop him, so that means that he's gonna beat him etc etc". Dont talk ****.Past fights are important because how else do you judge the best fighters who are most worthy to face each other??

Yeah, we know FMJ isn't gonna fight many more fights. You seem to think that Ricky won't be a challenge? Dont ****in joke. He's gonna give Floyd Mayweather the fight of his life.Comment

If Hatton - Castillo hadn't happened then Hatton - Mayweather wouldn't be happening. Think about it, if Hatton had not fought Castillo he would have fought Malignaggi, Torres or maybe even Witter. There would have been no reason for Mayweather to sit up and take notice. For example, an honest evaluation of Castillo's work over the past few years should have told us that he was badly faded. Take a closer look at Mayweather's resume:
In his 22nd fight in Oct 2000, he chose Emmanuel Augustus 22-16-4, who had lost 4 of his previous 6 fights.
His big wins:
Philip N'Dou, who we've recently seen in action, a mediocre boxer at best
Zab Judah, who had just been beaten by Baldomir, and has been KOed by Tszyu and Cotto
Jose Luis Castillo, who Hatton KOed in the 4th round
Diego Corrales, who was KOed by Castillo
Carlos Baldomir, a tough but limited and shot fighter
Arturo Gatti, an entertaining but limited and shot fighter
De La Hoya, a great fighter but was past his prime and had been inactive for several years
Ricky Hatton will expose Floyd Mayweather...
This guy just owned Mayweathers career.Comment

Also, you totally took my quote out of context. If you read - I said "when the bell rings and they are facing eachother, who cares about past fights?".Past fights are important because how else do you judge the best fighters who are most worthy to face each other??

Surely you can understand what I was trying to say??? Or....not?Comment

It was more convenient to take it out of context, Limey.Comment
