Is that true at all, or did I mis-read something? I haven't seen the fight yet but thats what I heard. And if it's true, would they have given rivera any recovery time if he had been knocked down? If there is any truth behind it, I feel someone was milking this fight if I read correctly.

Basically, Berto goes down and a few seconds later the bell rings. Next thing you know they're replacing his glove well after the next round should have started.

The same way, the skin can be cut by being hit by a big soft rubbery glove.

The force of punches can cause tears, especially when the glove is being compressed every time a punch lands.

Berto's one lucky mother ****er. He may have gotten up really quick but in instant slow replay we actually see how hard that punch landed. I got the clip of it. Okay, they might not have cheated like some people on other forums claimed the did. But I believe berto really needed that breather to think things out more. That extra time helped him alot. And I can't believe how bad his defense is, I always thought he was over-rated but the guy let down his defense completely.

RIGGED GG! the standing 8 count took 20 seconds to administer and the round ended just in time then he got a full minute after the round was supposed to start to change his glove. cheaterpants

How can you say he's overrated, when he's just rated as a very good prospect? Which he is. I don't think anyone has rated him anything more than that.

He's one of the best up and comers in the game and still is.

Dudes defense sucks ass, looks like he's not going to be fighting anyone half-way decent for awhile after this match. I guess he's going to fight lower-level competition after this match.
