Larry Holmes was maybe the most complete heavyweight whoever fought. He had every single punch in his arsenal, one of the best attacks, a huge heart, solid chin, and work ethic equal to anyone.
If it's all just opinion and they're "all just fighters" then I'd have to state my opinion in that I'd say Holmes would beat Johnson silly with nonstop straight punches through his gaurd. I don't see how Johnson's defense would have given prime Holmes too many problems when he's just hiding the right hand behind the jab like he did against virtually everyone he beat.
