I guess you haven't read any of the above post.

Sorry to say but BOTH of these fighters are bigger then the titles they hold. They need to get this done at 140 or a catchweight.

Dont count Hatton out yet. Floyd Mayweather could get in trouble if hatton can get past his jab and on to the body. At 140 this could be possible but for sake of being fair and because Mayweather deserves it after having fought at 154 i voted 147. If Hatton cant get past the jab (yes the laser accurate jab) he wont even fight on the inside, and people will say it was a boring fight (which usualy means PBF won)
          I voted 147

if i were hatton i'd insist that the fight be at 140, i'd try and make floyd drop soe of that weight, and being that there is no fat on floyds body it would make it a lot harder for him to cut the weight.

and the flipside of that if i were floyd, i'd make hatton come up, obviously.

but they're more then likely to settle on a catch weight.

the most important thing is to get the fight signed and so it will happen.

Last fight Floyd weighed 148 stepping in the ring and last fight Hatton weighed 149 ,, what are you fellows on , forget the weighing weight for **** sake look at the weight these guys actually fight at , its the ****ing same , the weigh-in is about drying out to make the stipulated weight then they rehydrate and are back to the weight they were the night before the weigh-in Floyd didnt dry out last weigh-in where Ricky did , its got nothing to do with real fight weight ,,, these two are the same ****ing size for crying out loud .

It makes more of a difference then you think. In his last fight at 147 I think he weighed nearly 160 in the ring. Floyd is a small guy period but Hatton isnt. He puts on weight. It should actually be to his advantage the bigger the weight but people on here dont think so. I dont think Hatton looked any different at 147. The difference is that he fought the biggest & best guy he's ever fought.

Thats because Collazo is a full welter and Ricky tried to match his size with old school mentallty , fFoyd is not a welter , Ricky wont come in a 160 , he wont even try , he will come in the at his best weight and so will Floyd which will be very close to the same .

The dif is that at 147 you now have to wear larger gloves than you do at 140 and that does not suit Hatton at all, You could see that at the Urango fight..Its not so much as the body weight going to 147 IMO its the gloves! He couldnt put the punches in the spaces he normally does!!!Well thats what I thought.

Wrong! NSAC has the 10oz gloves for jrWW's as well WW. Hatton had on the 10oz gloves for the Urango fight. In other states 8oz gloves are used for WW and only mandate the 10oz gloves for jrMW and above. So 147lbs or 140lbs doesn't mean crap if the fight is in Vegas.
