I can't say that Hatton wont slow down against a 147 pounder.. Because in his only fight at the weight. HE DID slow down. So, to assume he'll just be a natural 147 pounder overnight.. Is ridiculous.. You can say all this about.. "He'll be better prepared" "he has a bgger heart" None of this is fact.. What is closest to fact, is that Mayweather is the overall bigger.. faster fighter.. who's more athletic and has better overall skills. Much better defense.. Overall, just better. It's not fact, but it's much better than speculation.
Mayweather is extremely gifted and talented but...

Chin, I agree with.. But.. Mayweather has never been hurt. So you have to give his chin the benefit of the doubt.. Heart? When has he ever given up? Determination? He stays in great shape and always wins. How is that not determined?Comment

Damn you are dumb. I was just listing examples. According to you Mayweather is superhuman and will never get beat. No one has an advantage over Mayweather, right????Comment

Threadstater you tripping. De la Hoya even in his prime had stamina problems and always will. PBF doesn't get hurt to the body why haven't you people come to realize this yet. Castillo in his prime was known for his body work and it did nothing. Also you can say Hatton won't get tired and his work rate won't slow down but at the sametime Hatton hasn't faced a fighter that will hit him as much as PBF will and he hasn't faced at fighter close to PBF speed, skill, defense, or ring smarts. Hatton has no advatages in this fight if it were to happen.Comment

And I'm dumb? Grow up. I stated my opinion, don't agree with it, don't post threads talking about opinions. Simple, right? I'm sure there are people who would give Mayweather trouble.. Mosley.. Cotto.. Even Hatton. I never said ti would be easy for Mayweather.. I just said.. absed on what I KNOW and SEE.. not what I ASSUME.. I'd give the advantage to Mayweather, overall. Pretty basic ****in' premise.Comment

I don't see what those of you backing Hatton do. I see in Ricky a high-pressure, brawling little guy who loses much of what makes him exciting when he moved up in weight. Hatton loves to come forward, to work inside, to go to the body - and against men his own size his method of attack works for him. When you fight someone slightly bigger, or god forbid bigger and slicker- well, Hatton just can't handle it.
In actuality a part of me really hopes you guys are right and Ricky shows me something I doubt he has. Why? Because that would make it a fight. If Mayweather is ever going to be an amazing, all time great fighter, he needs to be pushed. Floyd needs an opponent to make him sweat, back him into a corner, and threaten to make him look foolish. That's when great fighters dig down and show us what they are made of. Up to now Mayweather has been able to coast. If a pressure fighter can really make Floyd fight for his paycheck, well, then we'll see if he has the spirit to pull out a hard, tough victory or if he crumbles. In that sense I'd be glad to see Ricky prove me wrong.Comment
