Is Cintron A Punk For Fighting Feliciano?

Your being really heavy handed in this thread and its really unessecary, Cintron is staying active and keeping himself busy in the ring to prep himself for a meaningful fight, and keeping his career on track to recovery after being humiliated by Margarito, hes doing what he has to do to keep his skills sharp. There is nothing wrong with that. You guys dont get it. I think you all forget how ****ty Cintron's resume was before he fought Margarito. He had one of the worst reume's Ive ever seen and just had a life & death match with a shot ass Teddy Reid before the Margarito fight. I cant believe alot of people picked him. He almost got KO by Reid. I knew he was going to get killed.
Since then he fought a bum and 3 solid guys. This is his time to step up. Do you guys realize that he will be 28 in October? He's old as **** and hasnt done jack. You think he should be fighting this guy right now? His ****in career is going to be over before its started. Dont be fooled either because he's getting by right now on his size, like alot of those WW's are. None of them look like they will be anyting at 154 and we saw that when Margarito couldnt even handle a guy like Santos. Cintron may not even be able to stay at WW for awhile. Now he's fighting this other bum and he will be 28 and having his 2nd big fight and I bet he's going to lose again and probally get embarrased because of the guys he's fought and the timing of when he's fought them.
Taylor just had 3 fights in a row with Hopkins & Winky, then came back with 2 tuneups in Ouma & Spinks and everyone killed him for that. Those guys are 10x better then Feliciano and Cintron hasnt done a quarter of the stuff Taylor has. He has to step up. Here's his resume:

My problem with this is that Cintron has a belt. He just made his mandatory defense against Matthysse so now he gets an optional one. Instead, he chooses to fight a bum instead of signing for a fight with Margarito in the fall, even though he claims in his latest interview with boxingscene that he wants Margarito. But after Feliciano, he has to fight his mandatory, whoever that is. So I think it's a chicken**** move by Cintron personally.Comment

Also, Manny has been doing this **** with Wladimir ever since he won the title. Wlad is on to his optional defense whenever the other champs are engaged in fights. I don't call that a coincidence.Comment

He didn't, it's called staying active. Great fighters from the past, and now.. do it. It's a good thing, not a bad thing.. It's on an undercard, you're not being ripped off, and both guys are consenting pros. Why are you so pissed off?Comment

But after Feliciano, he'll have to fight his mandatory, thereby delaying a fight against a real opponent until next year. That's not respectable at all. Unless Feliciano is his mandatory, which I doubt.Comment

It's not his fault. Other boxers aren't calling him out and infact are doing the opposite in the sense that they are focusing on other people. What is he supposed to do? NOT face this guy and THAN face a big name, which would STIL be next year, when all the big fights are done, around November? Either way, atleast he's staying active now.Comment

Emanuel Steward want him to be active so it going to be like more then 5 fight this year. He fought Walter Mattyess just recently and his camp want to increase his wins and experince quick the only way you could do it is by making him more active. Cintron doesnt get hurt that much during the fight which helps him to be more active most of his fights are short with these contenders because of his powerComment

I just checked and Joel Julio is his mandatory, so that could actually be a good scrap if it comes off. Feliciano is unranked (I'm shocked).
Cintron should be fighting Margarito next and Julio after that. None of this Feliciano nonsense.Comment

Margarito doesn't want to fight CIntron right now, not in this ammount of time, I'm guessing of course. But if he did, he'd have answered that call out. He's thinking of a comeback gameplan himself right now. Why not tune up on a Feliciano and then go for a good mandatory in Julio.. then get his chance at a bigger money fight next year. Nothing wrong with that. Staying active is considered a bad thing now in boxing.. Good.... Lord.Comment
