I agree with you there the top welterweights are booked right now so its a good sign to see him active you just dont see that many fighters fighting within 2 months i would like to see him fight Gomez but Cintron would cruush him just like he did Matthysse

What are you talkin about, Margarito & Williams just fought? They were all on the same card. Both those guys would jump at this fight. You guys are saying this is good because he's staying active when other guys dont but I think its the exact opposite. He's holding up these fights. He's pushing other fights back because of this B.S. fight.

He's going to either struggle with this guy which will ruin his confidence or he will decapitate this kid which will give him a false sense of how good he is just like the Mathysee fight did. What, you guys think its ok to jump from Feliciano straight into a fight with the top guys in the division? It will be a complete shock to his system and he will cave. Just like he jumped from a shot Teddy Reid straight to Margarito. I think this is bad
        LMAO...

Is this the first time you have heard about a guy staying active? This is a great thing. It keeps guys focused, and helps them improve. Guys in the old days used to do this all the time. The title is irrelevant, and he already faced his mandatories anyways. Every other top guy is busy right now. He has no one else to fight so staying active is the best thing possible.

If you think that either Marg or Williams are ready to jump in the ring, you are just showing how much you dont know about boxing. They went twelve hard rounds and more than likely want time off, Cintron put his time in at the gym and got the job done in 2 rounds, now why waste all that work he did in the gym? I wouldnt be surprised if he has two fights before Margarito and Williams have another fight. He is doing what Miranda did, staying active and raising his stock, as his name will be more known by knocking people out on a regular basis.

You have to realize that no promoter is going to make this fight with two months notice. Cintron is doing this for the sake of being active. Fights don't get made until at least four months in advance now a days. Waiting around might hurt him.

Oh yeah, it really did Miranda so great, didnt it? That made my point. He was staying active with these kind of guys and stepped up to a real fighter in Pavlik and got destroyed just like Cintron did against Margarito. When I say that Margarito & Williams are ready, I dont mean on September the 8th. I mean they are definatly ready to sign a fight for 4 months later. This fight will either push that back to 6 months or Cintron will fight them in less then 3 months after the Feliciano fight and either way its ******. My point is that this guy is at a different time in his career and he doesnt need to do this right now. He's going to screw up. You said he only fought 2 rounds? This fight will be lucky to even go 2. If you want more rounds then pick a tougher guy for the tuneup

I know this, havent you read my post. My point is he didnt need to take this fight. He couldve just made a fight for 4 months down the line with one of those big names. Read what I just wrote to the other guy about it because I dont feel like repeating it

look at it like this, hes going to spar in the gym right? now if hes in good enough shape already, why not make some money off of a glorified sparring session. he gets his work, money, and more than likely the fans get to see a knockout, whats wrong with that? he will still be ready to fight when everybody is ready, hell just have a bigger name.

This is all a move to build some hype behind Cintron.

We all saw a spectacular knockout against Mattheyyse and Cintron's people believe he will do the same thing to Felicano. (which he will)

So to do that to a guy with a decent chin and a draw with Gomez, it adds some push to Cintron's marketability.
