Simple question, and I know you're butt hurt as usual because you take everything life or death on this site.

Before you have a heart attack just answer this question.

Who was more impressive to watch beat someone.....Pernell Whitaker? or Mike Tyson? 1 answer please.

No "Oh well it depends" bull****.

Hahahahah "life or death" sure run whatever you say.
But your the one whos been on this site for 5 months more than me and has nearly double my posts, so you can take that for what its worth.
It takes more skill to do what Whitaker does to opponents over 12 rounds, which was my original point.
      Look at how I voted.

I chat with people on this site, in different forums.

You sit back, lurk and the basic fact you're self conscious about your post count tells me that you take this site life or death.

I don't care how you voted. I'm stating a basic fact that millionaires aren't supposed to run around scared of getting hit. End of story.

Funny because I rack up posts while you read, then I leave and come back to simply anger more people WHO ARE STILL READING.

Floyd consistanly outlands his opponents, he does far more than running and any semi-logical person should be able to see that.

Its up in the air, but everyone knows it takes more skill to shutout a guy over 12 rounds than to knock him out in 2.

That depends on the fight. If Bernard Hopkins got knocked out, in two rounds (VERY unlikely) then the person he fought either has a horse shoe up his ass, or he really has the skill to finish off a living legend, quickly.

Check out my avatar bro. I'm not biased at all. Mayweather and Cotto are the last two to whoop up on my boy Zab. Why would I be so quick to pick one or the other? I'm a fan of neither. That's just a weak way for you to try and analyze my vote.

And as someone else stated, it's pure opinion. So no point in arguing. I can see it either way, unlike you. I just explained my vote. And I'm not the only one who sees it this way. ATHLETICISM.

You serious lol? Unless you have hard evidence that Floyd is afraid of taking a punch (I know ridiculous, but I'll play along), then by your logic...any fighter with great defense is simply afraid of getting hit. Man please, either admit your wrong here or stick to the UFC boards. You're sounding like someone who just wants to see two people get f**ked up, not box.

Yes it is possible for a boxer to KO another boxer with a lucky punch. However this thread is very specific about which fights the question relates to. Cotto didn't win any of those fights with a lucky punch and so, yes he deservingly beat his common opponents more decisively.

However, that is all the thread is asking. It does not mean that Cotto would beat Mayweather, that is a completely different question. The Mayweather fans on this thread need to realise this and just answer the question truthfully.

As history has proven, fighter "A" beating common opponents more decisively than fighter "B" does not mean that fighter "A" would beat fighter "B". Examples Ali/Foreman, Leonard/Haglar, Whitaker/Chavez, Barkley/Hearns......etc.....etc....

                    1. If you already know the answer, wtf are you doing making the poll?

                    2. You're wrong. Cotto and Mayweather have different styles. Cotto fights in a style that will gain him more KO's. However, his approach is more sloppy in that he'll sometimes take a lot more punishment in his road to victory. Mayweather can pick apart opponents, punish them, get a few knockdowns maybe and win via unanimous decision with almost every round going to him. It's pretty even if you ask me. Thus, you're painfully mistaken if you believe just because scores a knockout, the win is more decisive. Go back to my baseball analogy between Ichiro and Bonds. Bonds gets more homeruns and always gets more attention because of the fan appeal to homeruns. Ichiro always bats for a high average, gets infield hits, extra base hits, steals bases and has decent RBI numbers. Is Ichiro's offensive approach any less decisive? Nope. You can't really compare the two because Cotto doesn't have all the tools to do what Mayweather does and vice versa. Apples and Oranges.

P.S. -- Everyone knows I'm not a Mayweather fan. But I do appreciate his skills. As do I respect Cotto for what he does. Pointless thread.

Miguel took out Sosa more impressively.

Cotto was badly hurt by Corley, and hurt by Judah several times.

                      Then the fouling started..

The full body beating Cotto handed out on Chop Chop and Super was more comprehensive - but you're not supposed to beat certain parts of the body Miguel knowingly, and deliberately put a beating on..

                      The pattern has been established.

                      Torres, Corley, and Judah.

Regardless of at what point in these fights Cotto started throwing low blows - he felt an imperative need to do so, and came out the winner.

This also begs the question - between DeMarcus and Zab; who put worse beatings on Miguel Cotto and Floyd Mayweather?

Clearly, Corley and Judah beat down Cotto worse than they beat down Mayweather..
