The trouble with hip hop is that there just aren't enough songs about bitches and guns...

This is a real tragedy though. Shooting someone because they ask you to stop smoking? Man those guys must feel pretty tough.

Why is it ex-boxers can only find work in bars as bouncers when their career is over?

I'm ****ing old and middle class now, but when I get on the bus (in Wolverhampton, nevermind London), all I hear is young men of all racial backgrounds rapping along to songs about guns, violence, money and derogatory treatment of women. It's sad that the American rap culture has taken over, I struggle to see that it has any redeeming features.
In my house - i've created a rule - if any of my little brothers are caught watching MTV Base they have to turn it over automatically if any of these things appear on screen -

        1. A car with the suspension bouncing up and down
        2. Anyone waving wads of cash
        3. Any girls shaking there arse at the camera
        4. Guns
        5. Being chased by the police/being in jail

Keeping to these rules mean that i've never had to sit threw one single MTV Base music video.

Yeah - american gangsta culture really has taken over. Most annoying are the young asians who think they're tupac or something. I ****ing hate it.

Its not as if the government leaves anyone behind - infact half of the time - its more worthwhile to be on ****ing benefits and the supposed "breadline" than actually have a job.

Almost all the pro boxers or ex-pro boxer i know have done door work - but alot of them do it WHILST they are pro, especially in the early years. The pay isn't good being a pro-fighter - so a job which fits in with there training schedules, which is well paid...and lets not ignore the fact that your average pro boxer - like it or not, loves a rumble.

Not only that, but if you have one pro in the gym whose a doorman, he's bound to ask the other lads he trains with if they wanna help - and if there strapped for cash - of cause they'll do it. And then they'll ask when they know someone and so on and so on.

I suppose once they're careers over... you go back to wat you know. "I used to be a well paid bouncer... so i might as well do that. "

They're aint the ******s that they talk about in Rap videos. Theres no gang violence here, there is no way in which you "can't escape" poverty here in England.

Sure they're rough towns, cities and areas - i never said that there was not. But not ******s. I ain't gunna black dog how rough your town is, but it ain't pleasent up north either. But they're isn't no ******s. You can't put an area of London down and put it on par with S.American shanty towns.
