Dela Hoya would slice and dice him until the stoppage...

honestly can someone explain the logic to me, everytime ive seen De La Hoya he punches himself out after 8 rounds in the last few years, I just don't see how he hangs with the pace that Hatton sets at 147, people go by the Collazo fight far to much, he went into that fight training wrong.

de la Hoya would be sent to jail for abuse of a child, murder, ****, and manslaughter.

        Yeah, it'd be one sided.

Oscar can get in there and fight with the p4p #1 Clincher himself. Hopkins. Hatton can't outclinch Hopkins. Besides B-Hop hits waaaaaaaaaaaay harder than Hatton. de la Hoya's chin is too good. His skill is endlessly vast compared to Hatton. This is a guy who arguably beat the best fighter in the world, and he did it at 154 against a guy would was getting EATEN ALIVE by Luis Collazo at 147. I know styles make fights though... and with that being said, de la Hoya would give Hatton a boxing lesson before putting the boy to bed.

People make way too much of the Colazzo fight - I don't think Ricky had ever faced a bigger southpaw before. Hatton won anyway.

DLH is bigger than Hatton, with a significant reach advantage, but it's a better matchup for Ricky than Collazo was. DLH can be hurt by body punches, as in his fight with Hopkins, and there's no better body puncher in the 140 to 154 weight divisions than Ricky.

I have to question the intelligence and sanity of those who picked Hatton by KO or TKO. I doubt Hatton would last 6 rounds with Oscar. Although I could see Oscar taking a dive to recruit Hatton to GBP and make him the president of "Golden Boy UK" or some bull**** like that. I think we all know Oscar is willing to take a loss to make another million.

prime vs prime, DLH wins easily...in this case, i pick Hatton as he's much younger and hungrier...DLH shouldn't be fighting at all and I have no idea why he wants to keep fighting.

C'mon.. A Guy who isn't big enough for 147.. going against a guy who's as quick as he is, mentally and physically as tough as he is, stronger than he is, with a KO punch in either hand (usually his left though). And there's a real choice to be made? De La Hoya is like Collazo, expect faster and stronger and doesn't hit with marshmellows. De La Hoya by pretty brutal KO or TKO.

DLH would bust him up b/c Hatton is too small. The fight would take place @ 154.

DLH ain't fighting @ 147 again, no matter what he or Larry Merchant says.
