Ricky Hatton vs. Oscar De La Hoya: Who would win?

There's a news story most of us have seen by now about Oscar De La Hoya trying to set up a fight between he and Ricky Hatton. What would be the result of such a matchup?

Hatton in a walk-over. Mayweather exposed DLH. He's too old. He can't keep up with the younger generation.

Hatton dont have the skills Floyd has and dont have the skills Oscar has , if Ricky tried to out punch him he will knocked out badly , I think Ricky would run and box like in Urango but boxing is not his best and Oscar would force him to fight and then its KO time for Oscar , Ricky could not hurt Oscar who would weigh close to 160 , Oscar is too big for a guy with Hattons style .

i feel hatton is a better fighter at this point in Oscars career..but still the size differences is 2 much. Hatton is a junior welterweight naturally. and oscar is a middleweight. Plus Oscar still has some speed and his reach is a lot longer.

i mean it wouldnt surprise me to see Hatton win, but the smart money is on Oscar.

Are you honestly trying to compare PBF with Hatton b/c that's just laughable. Hatton could not walk over DLH b/c DLH jab would be in his face all night long. DLH could beat Hatton with his jab alone. DLH would cut his face up something fierce. TKO for DLH.

De La Hoya hasn't fought at 147 since 2001. SIX years ago... Oscar was 28. He has grown into an old man and IS NOT a gym rat like Hopkins.

Going down to 147 will leave DLH weight drained and ready for anyone to capitalize on. I say DLH doesn't handle the weight drain and gets defeated. Especially by someone who punishes to the body like Hatton.
