Winky should just fight in a division he's comfortable fighting in. If he can really make 154 still then he should go and dominate. He is the best Light Middleweight in the world by far.

You were talking about being successful against Winky. I like Winky, rooted for him last night as usual, but Joe would knock the living **** out of him. Winky was a bad match for Shane, who was out of his league at 154 anyway.

With Winky's Defense, are you serious? lets not start overrating calzaghe again, he has never been with any fighter with the qualities of a winky wright or bernard hopkins since Eubank, 10 years ago.

I agree. If Winky fights Calzaghe at 168, I favor Calzaghe becaues Winky looked like he didn't carry the extra weight very well last night. He seemed totally drained the last 4 rounds and that was most likely the major difference in the fight. Calzaghe definitely doesn't present the defensive puzzle that Hopkins did but his consistent work rate would probably have Winky just as tired come the later rounds. I respect Wright for stepping up to fight at 170 but if he can fight at 154 or 160 he can be dominant.

Bhop.Cal prolly wont happen for a number of reasons. One side or another will price his self out. Joe wont come to Yankee stadium cuz hes a fraidy cat of getting krunked on US soil and finally getting exposed...and Bhop wont go to the UK cuz he knows he'll lose on the cards.

That leaves Winky. This is how Joe works: Its either old washed up guys like Eubanks....young prospects ala 20-0 type guys...or some guy w/**** resume like Bika...losing to Soliman.

Winky is old and just lost, but still has a name and draw. I think Wink will beat Joe easy.

This fight should be made. If Joe wins it only looks good on his resume.
Er...isn't he fighting Kessler in November?

Joe should take the Hopkins fight. I understand your reservations in terms of the negotiation difficulties, but it should be pushed for one way or the other.

Hopkins and eubank in particular had some simliar qualities,

                  Both defensivley good fighters,

Both dont throw lots of punches,

Both Like to lean in with the right hand.

Wow McNulty. Way to avoid answering any of my questions and pretend they have no validity because you have wrongly decided I am biased. Is that a Boston thing? Oh, sorry. Spurious point. Isn't that easy?

Now that we have cleared up your oh-so-valid concerns answer my questions.
Who has he avoided? Who called him out? Give me a substansive difference between Hopkins' middleweight career and Calzaghe's.
                    Cheers from London!!!!!!!!

Oh yes, none of your answers will matter because you (like me) are American. God, what a great debating technique. If you can't think of anything just assume bias.
