In my eyes Winky indeed won 4 of the first 6. He was more active, Hopkins was holding back his offense by ducking and holding, Winky was pressing all the action and occasionally landing a nice straight left hand. After that though, it was a landslide for Bernard. I had him winning 7-12 after Winky was gased from his little dirt play on the inside. More than that though, Hopkins really grabbed the fight by the balls in the second half. He was in total control, which I felt he didn't have in the first 6 rounds.

It's time to give Harold Letterman the flick and replace him with Max, one used car sales deserves another.

whast the big deal, hopkins got the win didnt he? i honestly thought winky won five of the first 6 and had him beating hopkins by 2 points and should of been 3 becasue a point should of been taken from bhop for holding but didnt happen cuz oscar was sitting ringside. either way, lederman is about the best judge in boxing.

A bold statement. He only has less incorrect scores on his record because no one pays off Lederman to make his unofficial scorecard for their fighter. I think judges like Roth, Giampa and Moretti are head and shoulders above Lederman in judging accuracy. No one can beat his enthusiasm when he reads "The Unified Rules of the Association of BOXING commisions!"

Intelligence doesn't translate into success at everything one tries to do.

no but common sense can easily allow someone who knows nothing about boxing to score a fight correctly. Im just simply saying, harold ledderman scorecards are way more accurate than any vegas judge or anywhere else around the world. but i do agree, he sounds like a machine reading the official rules at the beginning of the telecast.

Oh no, another RJJ cheerleader crawled out of his hole to bash Hopkins. Lederman (learn to spell his name) is insane, most of his scores throughout the last 3 years have been a total joke. To say Winky won the majority of the first 6 is crazy. He comes forward and misses so he should win?? Even if Hopkins is moving around a lot, HE ACTUALLY LANDS!!! Look at the body work Hopkins did. Anyways bottom line is Lederman, Lampley, and Merchant need to move on. Along with Steward. In the last 3 years I've heard HBO make fun of and put down more fights, and question why they are taking place, then build up and glorify.

Lederman is not a good judge anymore. He is notorious for not giving a guy a round he won, then giving him the next won he loses just so his scorecard looks in line with the judges. **** that ****. He also gave Margarito round 10 against Williams even though Williams dominated for 2:45 and Margarito landed three great punches in the last 15 seconds. That's pathetic.
