    Ok Here goes...

Hatton is going to regret two things.

    1. Ever having opened the can of whoop ass that Floyd will dispense- and

    2. Forgetting where he placed the lid to the can.

Maybe so. I don't care as long as they fight.

I'm bored of the current propensity of the vast majority of fighters to avoid the most noteworthy and logical challengers. Beltholders avoid other beltholders quoting sanction fees and incompatible schedules and the like. The worst part is that I am certain that ALL these fighters believe they would win the match-ups.
Cherry picking heavier fighters, aiming for the weakest title holder, turning down a fight with the claim that that the opponent is not good enough/famous enough etc for you despite widespread public support for the bout are just frustrating and in the long term will be seen as smokescreen.
B'hop cleared his admittedly shallow division before looking elsewhere and in taking on Tarver and Wright took on two aging but seemingly top of their tree fighters. That's the way to do it. Even if he'd lost to Winky (and I thought he would) he has earned respect for his choices.
No one claiming to be a dominant champion should be fighting once a year.

I hear ya. The prospects of Floyd ever losing to Margarito is now a shattered myth. And, supposedly, Mayweather was ducking him.

Now, he's taking on Hatton whom many were craving to see fight and who said Hatton would destroy.

Although, the implications have been that Floyd is underrated as a five time world champion, it is still a catch-22 situation for him.

If Floyd would 've fought and beaten Margarito convincingly, he still would not have received the acclaim he deserves.

That leaves him with Shane, Cotto, and Williams to fight.

Time will tell if he decides to take on any of those three.

And as has been already discussed, Floyd called out Shane and Cotto and they weren't ready.

People said Baldomir ruined Gatti...NO Floyd ruined Gatti.

No, Gatti defending with his face ruined Gatti. I love Gatti as much as the next fight fan. He was one of the bravest boxers of our generation. Gatti didn't have the pop in the higher weights and he certainly couldn't take the punishment. How much punishment had Gatti taken before getting in the ring with Floyd? He was a tragedy waiting to happen in the last few years and please God he has avoided it.
Gatti walking into the ring to fight Floyd looked puffy and swollen as if he'd done 12 rounds already. Years of scar tissue and surgery on his face tells you how likely he was to beat ANY top contender 140 and up.
When Hatton talked about a potential fight afterwards I was outraged. That is the only fight I truly believe Floyd SHOULDN'T have taken.

Hatton don't open no can of whoop ass. He makes his own...

So why didn't Urango stick with it? It seems a no brainer, if Juan stuck to it he'd have beaten the man at 140 lbs, but for some reason he didn't. I wonder what happened.
