People take Steward's work with Taylor too seriously. Its pretty obvious that Taylor has a huge problem with listening. He'll look at you and say yes sir then go right back to fighting the wrong fight.

    Wladimir is a machine.
    Cintron looks scary.
Andy Lee has potential to be a star.

    This didnt happen by accident.

As far as a trainer...he sounds like a real ******* to me....

like a football coach that never played football...or an officer never enlisted...

Buddy and Freddy get more props cuz they fought pretty well...
he was a great amateur i believe and his commentating is quite good as well... who would you rather have Max or lennox??? he is a good replacement for Foreman and Roy!!! who else is out there that could explain the fights as good??? i'm all ears

Are you kidding me?!! Somebody actually likes Manny Steward's commentary?? He's brutal. He's been jealous of Hopkins for years. Ever since Hopkins said he'd waste any MW Steward ever trained and that Steward is a *****. Hopkins is north of 42, fought one of the most technically skilled fighters of this generation, and still put on a clinic. What would Tommy Hearns do?? Steward is jealous, and his commentary is pathetic, one round he'll be saying "Oh so and so has the tempo, this fight could end soon". The next round he's talking about the other guy "Well the crowd seems to be on his side, if he steps it up I could see him winning." He never offers anything insightful, he just babbles and can never call fighters by their right names "Margarita"...I'd rather listen to Lennox or Max anyday, Steward is washed up.

Actually Max and Lennox is a better combination cuz they talk about the fight...

Jim Lampley talks about other stuff (Bengals concert and woman) and he jumps on the popular bandwagon a lot....Steward is either extremely negative or extremely nuthugging fighters that fight like a Rocky movie...like a little kid almost...

Lennox and MAx are a younger duo and stick to boxing from different angles...Max was talking about how Wright jumped up in weight, B-Hop's age, the legitimacy of the a light-heavyweight fight at a catch weight of 170...Chad Dawson...

Steward is on that Larry Merchant level sometimes...dissing his own sport O using the word boring so many times along with Lampley and Merchant....you dont hear that on UFC even if it is boring....Steward disses fights and fighters a lot...

Lennox shows some enthusiasm and knowledge and gets better and better...

The mans got a point. The reason why boxing is dying is because of boxings self promotion. How many times have you heard Merchant/Steward dissing the style of play of a fighter? Or read an article on why boxing is dead. I could go on and on. You NEVER see this in any other sport.

How anyone could prefer Lennox over Manny is beyond me. Lennox is beyond awful.

Yes, I think he needs to wait for them to fail somewhwere, or how, to make a statement like that.

Roy Jones is a good commetator Lennox sometimes give good tips on the fight and how it going on.

like in the Taylor-Winky he said thatTaylor should have raised his gaurd early in the fight and in Rahman-Olge he said Rahman has a good jab that he should be using it.

I guess no one caught Stewart saying that the first fighters of the PPV(the first one of the card with the dude with the cuts) were hitting as hard as modern heavyweights. It got quiet for a split second with the commentating after that.

I think the top boxing world is more tight knit then we think. Steward almost has personal problems with some fighters so he bad mouths them on the air. But like it or not Hopkins is one the best of our era. Should he retire? I think so, but I would like to see him finally put his stamp on RJJ before he goes out. The fight makes sense, more sense than RJJ-Trinidad
