Either you are misinformed or a hater. I love Hopkins - among his generation, I rank him right behind Jones. But this "Hopkins was green argument" is pretty ridiculous. He was the #1 ranked contender when he fought Roy, Roy was #2. Furthermore, Hopkins didn't lose for another twelve years (and some feel he still hasn't). I mean, how green was he? So green that nobody else could beat him? It's just a mere coincidence that Roy was the only guy who beat him in that span?
I'd also like to add that while many make the case that Hops was green (an excuse if I've ever heard one), some ignore that Jones fought with an injured right. But I'm not in the business of making excuses for fighters. I will say this - Jones wasn't a complete fighter then either. In fact, I'd say he was pretty green himself. Look at his fight against Hopkins and compare to fights three-four years down the line (since that's what you're doing with BHop). Wouldn't you say his style changed A LOT? Yeah, thought so.
Finally, can you offer some real substance as to how Roy was overrated? Now that we've gotten over that excuse for Hopkins. Next, you're going to tell me that Toney was weight-drained, right? And seriously, did you even watch Hopkins-Jones? Roy beat him primarily with a JAB. For those who think he had no fundamentals.
