Yeah, I was wrong. I admit it. Big deal. Doesn't change the fact that it was a close fight. Even if you sweep all rounds, if you BARELY won the rounds, it still means the fight was closely contested.

hahahaha I don't even need to say anything, Roy haters dismantled themselves, because they are so dumb. Harold Lederman had every round for Roy as far as I know. The rounds seemed to be close, because few punches were landed, but Roy always landed more.
      186 punches landed for Jones
      128 for Hopkins

Look I'm not a hater of anybody and I won't discredit RJJ as a fighter because he accomplished a lot. IMO he was overrated and he always priced himself out of the real big fights. I'm not talking about when he was dominating 160, I mean as he moved up to 175. A Hopkins rematch, Trinidad, the list goes on and on. The only reason he fought Tarver is because he thought he was a bum. Glen Johnson?? As if anybody thought he would win (I actually did because Roy is sloppy now and has a weak chin and heart)...still he was a great fighter.

To say he is better Hopkins then is absolutely ******ed. Hopkins fought RJJ in 1993 when Hopkins was still green, give me a break. I don't give a **** if he won 8-4 7-5 12-0 I don't care. Hopkins was green and not even close to scratching the potential of the fighter he became. Hopkins would've mopped the floor with RJJ in a rematch and still would. Why won't RJJ fight him now?? Exactly, the same reason he wouldn't fight him after he dismantled Trinidad. Hopkins has a better legacy, **** P4P, Hopkins had 20 title defenses and has beat up guys like Trinidad, DLH, Tarver, Johnson etc. His resume is a lot more impressive then RJJ. The haters may be dumb, but the ****riders are even worse.

Didn't Roy said 60 to the winner and 40 for the loser in their last negotiations?
If Hopkins was so sure about his win, why he hadn't taken it?
20 Title defenses...against as bad competition as Roy had.
Bernard is bigger than Roy and if he wouldn't ran his half life he would have been a light heavy years ago. Oscar de la Hoya...Tito. Oscar came from featherweight, Tito from welterweight. BIG ACCOMPLISHMENT hell jeah :/

We will see who does better against Trinidad. A prime Hopkins or an old washed up Roy Jones.....lets just wait.

Mcallum, Griffin, Woods, Tellesco(#2 Ranked), Julio Cesar Gonzalez, Merqui Sosa. Roy has never been tied to Balco at all. He's never tested positive for Roids except for the Richard Hall fight and he didn't look any different from when he did against Hopkins. He wasn't roided up against Hopkins. If you watched the fight closely, you could see that RJJ was huffing and puffing throughout the 8th-12th rounds. He's supposed to be superman right??? I've never seen a change in his agilitity or anything up until the 1st tarver fight. What is a man not allowed to age? You guys are ****ing ****** for even puttin this up.

This thread goes to show you how much knowledge about boxing or steroids the starter knows. (Which is absolutely nothing) Roy tested positive for steroids from an over the counter product called Ripped Fuel. It's over the counter supplement that according to him he thought was legal. That's the only time it ever happened anyway. It goes to show you how far some ignorant people go to try to discredit him for his accomplishments.
