You guys are missing the big picture. If Floyd fights Hatton on Nov 17th, they are going to fight early. We can have a double-header with Mayweather-Hatton at 7pm EST (that's midnight in England) and then go right to the Cotto-Mosley undercard at 8pm with the main event happening at 10pm instead of 11pm, as it normally would.

Most PPV main events take place at 11pm local so Hatton and PBF would only be fighting 1 hour after the normal time and Cotto and Mosley would only be fighting 1 hour before the normal time. That's not really that bad a deal for both of them, plus they can charge $60 for the PPV.

Never crossed my mind he was too.
You're an idiot. Cotto should fight Mosley for two reasons:

    1. Mosley brings more money to the table and it's the smart business decision; and,
    2. Mosley is a MUCH bigger name on your resume than Paul Williams.

BTW, Paul Williams was never promised a match with Cotto if he beat Margo so he has nothing to complain about.

Floyd Mayweather is missing out on the biggest opportunity he has ever had if he lets Mosley off the hook. Shane is the like the last great gunslinger of a fading era. Still dangerous as hell with a world of experience but he's got all of these young lions snapping at his heels. If and its a big if, Cotto can beat him it would thrust him into at least the number two spot p4p and if he can beat up on Mosley and impressively stop him he might just step right over into the number 1 spot. The sad thing is Mayweather should be throwing a fit to fight Mosley, he should want this fight to build him as the undeniable best of the best and by not doing this he is depriving his fans, Mosley's fans and all boxing fans of a match that would define the careers of two of its brightest stars. I dont see how you can debate this, in fact it really confuses me as to exactly what the hell Floyd is thinking right now.

        Dangerous

I think this fight is very dangerous for Mosley for many reasons

        1. Cotto for some reason has very good power at the welterweight division i belive he is the strongest in that division.

        2. Mosley is not Mosley anymore and i dont think he has the power to seriuosly hurt cotto.

3 Finally constant pressure is the weakness of most boxers today and Cotto will constantly pressure mosley forcing him to go backward which will in due time lead to a knockout

If this fight ever happend Cotto by knockout in the 10th

cotto impressed me the way he handled zab and paulie. he keeps on improving.

i still have Q's with his power at welter.

if mosley shows up ready to go 12 without huffin and puffin too much , he's going to school cotto imo. shane can take anything cotto throws. can cotto take anything shane throws?

mosleys been in there with bigger, smarter, faster, harder punchers than cotto.

with cottos mad heart and poise against mosleys expierience and smarts i see it leaning towards expierience prevailing over twelve.

yeah. mosley being old may throw a wrench in the works. but he's so smart and seen it all i think he can outsmart the intelligent cottos "in the ring adjustments". it may be that close.

                    Man.

I love what Cotto brings to the ring.

                    But...

To be honest...I think Mosely takes this one.

Fast hands have been Cottos weakness in my opinion. The thing is...Cotto usually overcomes it cause of his heart and breaks the guy down.

I dont think he can do that to Mosely...who has the fast hands AND A decent enough punch to hurt Cotto.

I think Mosely can catch Cotto with something he doesnt see coming and drop him once or twice. And then box to a UD.

Fast hands and Decent Pop....plus a good Chin spells Cotto Kryptonite to me.

He will get blown the **** out if this fight comes off.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't you say time and time again that Zab would whoop Cotto?
