Money isn't everything and i doubt Oscar would make the 21mill if he wasn't fighting Floyd, so Floyd can draw just as much money, he just needs to play the bad guy again, which can prove hard with Hatton hehe
Very good point; Hatton seems like he cares more about his legacy now than the money. Plus, Hatton's going make some serious dough for this fight...

Mosley will be out of gas by the 6th or 8th. Then Cotto would take the TKO a few rounds later. Then Cotto would have awsome power and AWSOME pressure coming forward. Again. Repeat with Hoya, then a couple of years with Mayweather, than maybe Hatton and cotto would be the best pressure fighter. Then finally he would fight a new Williams and lose.

Never crossed my mind he was too.
It would only be ducking if he fought Margarito. My friend, belts dont mean much in boxing. My definition of high reward is the money and name recognition your opponent brings. I think Mosley brings this into the table much more than Williams does.

Let me give you a recent example: Mayweather fought Gatti. That was an excellent move on his part. Gatti was no longer a dangeous opponet, but he was a huge name. Gatti was a low risk / high reward fight.

Mosley is in no way a low risk fight, but is a very high reward fight for Cotto if he defeats Mosley.

Mosley still has good endurance for his age and he can fight tired unlike Oscar.Cotto wont be able to put enough pressure on shane to tire him out in 6 or 8 also because Shane is going to be the hardest puncher he's ever fought and he cant get reckless with him.

Gatti was the champion. Mayweather for one fought all the champions.

Championships should mean the most in boxing. It's our only hope of fighting corruption. Or do you rather see kids beating up fighters who are old enough to be their dads to an humiliating TKO? That serves no porpose but to hype a fighter, which should be done alone by fair victories. Mosley is the one everyone wants now that he's 35 (or 36?). When he was on his prime noone wanted to fight him cept for brave Hoya and because of that he had to go up in weight and fight people much bigger than him (Ronald Right for one, Vernon Forrest for two). This is the shame of boxing. In the old days you had to be really talented to make it. Today you can get around with a bad defense or a bad chin. It's ok, they'll fix you up if you know what i mean.

HBO has already given a PPV slot on Nov. 17 to Mayweather; so if PBF does indeed fight on November, the Cotto/Mosley fight will have to find a new date. I really hope this fight happens. It would be bull**** if Cotto fought Margo now; and even though I think Cotto would beat Williams, it would be a high risk / low reward fight for him at this stage. Cotto vs Mosley is the perfect fight.
This is great..Two warriors going toe to toe...

That's true but still i dislike seeing people fighting 10 year seniors. I remember people making it a big deal when Hoya fought mayweather, his 4 year junior. Imagine more than twice the difference. I still think Mosley will tire as brave as he is. It's funny 35 isnt old in HW but in WW it seems it is. Seeing Castillo fight Hatton makes me think of Mosley fighting Cotto. Remember Cotto fights for 12rounds about the same intensity. Mosley can follow till 6, after that a sad slowing down will occur. He'll hold on a couple rounds, get TKOed and quit boxing as he should BEFORE this fight. Better for Mosley would be Hatton or Mayweather, Oscar would be great but they fought twice already. Or a good european, is Calzaghe around his age and weight? Shane did look good against Collazo who was also alot younger than him.

                      Definately.

Mosley is an extremely dangerous fight for Cotto.
