    Cotto vs Mosley negotiations

According to a puertorican newspaper. Top Rank has started negotiations on Cotto vs Mosley fight. They have tabbed the 10 or 17 of November as possible dates for the fight in MSG. HBO has already given a PPV slot on Nov. 17 to Mayweather; so if PBF does indeed fight on November, the Cotto/Mosley fight will have to find a new date. I really hope this fight happens. It would be bull**** if Cotto fought Margo now; and even though I think Cotto would beat Williams, it would be a high risk / low reward fight for him at this stage. Cotto vs Mosley is the perfect fight.

If that's true, HBO will make PBF decide soon whether or not he'll fight Hatton on that date, because there's no way they'd want to miss out on Cotto-Mosley. If PBF-Hatton gets made for Nov.17, Cotto-Mosley will probably get pushed back to January, because HBO hates doing boxing in December.

I think Cotto beats Mosley at this point in his career. It's almost a shame that Cotto came around when he did because I would have loved to see him fight prime DLH or prime Mosley. I just think at this stage in Mosley's career he would have to box for 12 rounds non stop in order to beat Cotto and I don't know if he can do that anymore.

This fight makes sense at this point with Margarito's loss. Even though I wouldn't mind seeing Cotto face Margarito just for the exciting fight it would be, a Cotto/Mosely matchup means a lot more for the divsion to see who's the best in a loaded WW division. Cotto has that relentless attack for 12 rounds and just loves to fight which makes it hard for anyone. I think Mosley would be more consistent than Judah was and land those power shots to hold Cotto back. Even though Mosely is older he's still more athletic than most and I think he could hang with the pressure of Cotto and win a close UD or SD. Plus I hope he wins because I want to see a SSM vs PBF matchup.

I like to see Cotto face Williams much more than Mosley. Williams is a young hungry fighter whose style, IMO, is very crowd pleasing and would match up very well against the power punching Cotto. This is a fun fight and would undoubtedly be extremely entertaining. Plus, Williams is a titlist and this would be a unification bout…

This would not be my preferred Cotto matchup.

Something more competitive would be better..

He will get blown the **** out if this fight comes off.
