    Mayweather would be overwhelmed by Paul William's punch output.

    And Mayweather doesn't have the power to keep William's off.

      hatton= limited skills
      cotto= not quick enough
      marg= too slow
      williams= open and becomes sloppy, but still may have chance. can prove very difficult as floyd will prob have to change his style

      for me the only guy that can beat him is shane mosley. still very quick with fast hands, power, skills and is very tough. he has everything you need to beat mayweather.

        Cotto and Williams are Floyd's toughest fights.
        Mosley would have been tough in his prime and I think would have taken it. Now I think Floyd's technique will overcome Mosley's declining pace.
        Hatton would be damn close at 140. At 147 I think he is going to have major problems.
        Winky's walking around at 190 it says in one article. He won't see 147.
        Cotto will have to take a LOT of punishment to bodyshot Floyd to a slower pace. Then he might edge it with a KO but it would be VERY late in the fight. Could happen. Floyd would have to REALLY run cause shoulder rolls don't help with bodyshots.
        Williams arm length and height would make Floyd have to get in the bucket. Dangerous game but he can do it. He'll train for it well.
        Cotto has the best chance.
        Facing Cotto, Williams and Hatton would really bolster Floyd's record and therefore his image. He needs these fights.

        BTW for those whiners complaining about Williams being the new flavor of the month, grow up. Boxers come in to form. Boxers get old. Boxers mature in one fight. Boxers get beaten forever in one fight. Williams has taken a normal route by todays standards. He's hitting the big time now just when welter's getting really exciting. He's had the most dominant performance against the biggest ww name outside of Cotto/Judah some why in God's name shouldn't he call out and face Floyd. If Floyd is a champ (or THE champ) he should face the best of the challengers. That's Williams, Cotto or Hatton (by record).

          Funny thing I heard someone say in the gym one day...
          "The fighter who can beat Floyd hasn't been born yet".

          Just thought I'd throw that in.

          Anyway, SOMEBODY has got to able to beat Floyd. Williams may give Floyd trouble, somebody who's that tall and throws that many punches. I'd be interested to see what Floyd would do against him. Not to say I think Williams would win......

                Somebody at my gym nearly got slapped for saying Kassim Ouma is the only boxer in the PBF's weightclass that can beat
                him. I nearly died of laughter

                  I think Cory Spinks would be able to give PBF a run for his money. Cory has slightly better boxing skills, he's bigger, he's younger, just as fast, hits harder. He's a very underrated and underappreciated fighter.

                      "Hatton = Limited skills"

                      Ricky Hatton does not have limited skills. He fights the way he likes, in your face, pressure, as far as 'skills' go, he's underrated.
                      He would push mayweather all the way - I dont know why mayweather has this unbeatable reputation - he is very good in defence but if you have Ricky Hatton in your face constantly (which he would be) you will always struggle. How can you get away from someone who is constantly in your face, hitting with hard body shots every time you lift your elbows to hit him? Yes, mayweather is brilliant in defence and counter attack, but hatton would have him on the back foot every second of every round. It will be De La Hoya x10 for 12 rounds.

                      And, I know that Hatton HATES floyd mayweather with a passion, he would be like a man possessed and he will finally shut up all of the doubters. I just hope mayweather has the balls to face him.
