Joe is one of the biggest names out there and Kessler is building a bit of a following. If a superfight is if HBO want to show it and how popular the fight might be. I suppose a fight between Butterbean v John Ruiz could be a superfight if enough people wanted to watch for laughter and entertainment i suppose.

Of course it is, you are talking about the best Super Middle of this generation against his likely successor.
Just because neither are American doesn't not make it a Super Fight, most of the European fight fans believe it is and this poll backs that up!Comment

Of course it was:
1.the protagonists were the best two fighters at 168-175
2. Kessler was in his prime and close to his peak and Joe at his mental peak, even though a bit faded physically - still in his prime, physically, just - and in top physical condition;
3. both fighters fought at their ideal weight...only Pavlik is better p4p than Kessler at 160...but Kessler would of course beat him at 168.
4. both fighters were unbeaten Champions...
