I didn't see mayweather-de la hoya as a super-fight. i saw it as a fight between the best fighter in the world and a 34 year old who had arguably lost 2 of his last 3 fights, with a bunch of dim-witted celebrities making them both rich.

They were calling Calzaghe vs. Lacy the biggest super middleweight bout since Jones-Toney from 12 years earlier. Well, this is bigger than the Lacy fight to me at least, and I was VERY pumped for the Lacy fight last year. This is most definitely a superfight.

this is a superfight in the supermiddleweight division and depending on how each others career go on after this, it could some day be known as a superfight. when roy jones fought hopkins it wasnt a big deal back in the day but hopkins turned out to be great and roy turned out like everyone expected. so although it wasnt a big fight then, its a much talked about fight now.
