Yea, I have to agree as well. Gatti looked old and done, he shouldn't be allowed to fight anymore. I can see him talking like Meldrick Taylor if he isn't carefull. Gomez lookes like he has nice skills but I agree as well, in that weight class, how far can he go? I thought it was classic how he called out JCC jr, smart on his part, that would generate some interest at least.

I dislike him because I think he sucks and flat out he does not deserve bigger payday's then guys who actualy battle and pay there dues. Guys like Sharmba Mitchell should of got bigger paydays then this Gomez goofball. Just because he was on a damn reality show too....I hope NBC took all his money.

I can't say I dislike Gomez, but I don't like the guy at all either, flat out. I have a big problem with "reality" tv people trying to stick their nose in the sport that I love. And I'd be lying if I didn't say that part of me hopes Gomez gets squashed in his next fight and is shortly forgotten about.

its funny you mention sharmba - i literlly back-spaced his name out as gomez's next possible opponent, deleted his name because sharmba is completely shot.

i have to disagree with you however, you have to work your ass off to get on TV and into that show and do what gomez has done.

He looks like he could go even lighter. He's never going to be a world beater in the WW divisison but at LWW? Possible. Apart from Hatton, there's not a lot there.

Gomez didn't pay his dues. I didnt see him fighting on ESPN for low money and risking it all to expand his career. No, he got put on a damn reality TV show. Last time I checked just for being a nice guy you shouldn't get massive payday's over guys who are actually TALENTED.
