Get over the race card man, it's really old. Margarito wasn't exposed, he fought a guy he shouldn't have. I called it from the beginning, Williams is a fighter that will cause anyone problems. He stays busy and outworked Margarito, plain and simple. I still would like to see Margarito vs Cotto, it would be a much better fight action wise and think Margarito could still beat him. Cotto's people won't let it happen though..........

i see what you're saying, cotto, although taking on real guys - if he were to take on margarito would mean his last 2 opponents were coming off losses, people could start to mistake him for odlh! it'd be a stat that cotto opponents would exploit in bashing him.

Margarito doesnt deserve a shot at Cotto because he lost.

THe only thing that the fight is made is because Arum promotes both of them.

Another issue is that if Arum pushs Cotto to fight Margarito he will lose Cotto because Cotto doesnt need Margarito.

Id rather see Cotto in with a TOP name or even against Williams, that said its a ****in great fight! Just not all that smart in a buisness sense for Miguel, he wont get as much credit now that williams has beaten Tony 1st

But i think when he is not making enough money as he think he does he wont accept the Margarito fight because its not going to do anything for him but it more of Arum and Margarito favor if he took the fight

Why not because he lost? Come on man, I don't want to sound cliche' but marg got outworked by Williams not beat down. It's not as if he lost by KO or was given a beating. Styles DO make fights and I think a fight with Cotto would be more exciting. Both are hard punchers, with Cotto being the quicker guys but margarito with the better chin. What more would you want?

I think this loss to Williams can be atributed to bad handling of Margarito. He had the fight with Cotto lined up and should have took that one instead of Williams.

If we took the formula that you want to take in order for fights to happen, some of the greatest fights in the history of boxing would have never happend. I believe Marg and Cotto would be a great fight no doubt reguardless of what happend with Williams. I say let it happen.....
