Mayweather v.s Williams take your pick and why?

He's a style nightmare for Floyd(and anyone at Welter). Floyd can't win a decision potshotting against that nonstop punching with the size disadvantage and he doesn't have the power to hurt Williams. It doesn't mean that Williams is better than Floyd, it's just a terrible matchup for him. At Welter imo, Cotto has the best shot with his relentless pressure and crisp inside punches, but it would still probably be a very tough fight.

This is the guy to finally finish the job for boxing and take its trash(mayweather, Andre Dirrell, Cory Spinks, etc).. and it pains me to say this because i'm 5-7 and usually root for shorter fighters.

I thought he could would have a chance against Mayweather last year when he fought on the undercard. He throws a lot of punches. Even when he is not landing he does. Mayweather will not chnage that regardless. Marg had power and Williams didn't care he kept throwing and kept coming. He has the best work rate in the game no question.

And damn no way this guy is 6'1. That can't be right becuase I'm 6-3 and I don't imagine I'd be that huge on televsion. Mayweather won't fight him though there's no money in it. And by the time it was Williams will be in his prime and it wouldn't be fair to ask an old Mayweather to take on this guy.

but one thing Mayweather has williams doesnt is the mentalitiy and way of thinking so i going with Mayweather.

but it going to be tough southpaw active and big so there is alot of spacing created and rang for Williams as Mayweather is going to move more often

for floyd to win the fight he'd have to get past williams jab and then his back hand.

he's not going to outland williams because he'll have to take 2 or 3 shots just to get on the inside. When there, he can`t hurt williams.

All williams has to do is jab and move and floyd will be completely neutralised.

It's extremely hard for me to pick against Mayweather. But if De La Hoya was more active and had better stamina I thought he could have won a decision. Becuase Floyd's punch out put is so low at times. And Williams continues to throw. So I would lean for a decision by Williams. Which in my mind sounds rediculous becuase Mayweather is the best in the world at the moment.

But I just don't see Williams all of a sudden not throwing anyomre because he's fighting the defensive genius. And I don't see Floyd throwing punches just to throw them.

I'm a big Mayweather fan, but there is just no way he can overcome THAT big of a size difference. Mayweather would have to walk Williams down while dodging his barrage of punches. Williams could just keep Mayweather away with that huge reach...
