BTW That would be a hell of a fight. Both McCall and Peter have great chins. I seriously doubt either one gets KO'd. It would probably go to the scorecards.
If Vitali is 75% of the fighter he was, he will KO McCline and Peter. He has 34KOs out of 35 wins, I don't think it matters how good the chin of his opponent is.

I should have clarified my comment. I meant that a fight between McCall and Peter would be a hell of a fight and it would go to scorecards. I would also prefer that Vitali fight McCline prior to fighting either McCall or Peter. Good tune-up before the big fight.

Is it my imagination or is it becoming more and more commonplace in boxing for champions to punk out of fighting the best opposition? I honestly thought Maskaev had more class than that but I guess I was wrong. Maybe he would have done the same thing if the opponent was Vitaly.

Maskaev is a bit past his prime at age 38, but he's still a good fighter and better than any American heavyweight. The division's gotten a lot better the last few years, and it's more than decent for me personally. Just because there are no American titleholders doesn't mean there aren't some good fighters...

If you were just talking about the American heavyweights, I agree...they do suck.

Fat old Toney and asthmatic Briggs the steroid junkies, McCall the old ex-mental patient, Brewster the not-so-relentless quitter, fat Rahman who was KOed by a past-prime Maskaev, Minto & Mesi the great white hypes, ear-biting drug addict ex-convict Tyson, Holyfield the senior citizen with delusions that he's still in his prime, fragile old Chris Byrd, and the man of the future: light-hitting Eddie Chambers.

What a bunch of losers! No wonder guys like DiegoFuego are so bitter...

That's why I like the Eurasian heavyweights - the ones on this continent all suck.

I think I just misread your post. McCall vs. Peter though? I don't know, I'd rather Peter to wait for Vitali/McCline and fight Vitali.

From my perspective, with the exception of Vitaly, the Eurasian Heavyweights suck too. As far as I'm concerned, the top logs of a pile of **** are still ****.

Bwuahahaha, both Oleg and Peter are brutally owned, they are getting fractions of what Vitaly offered.

....Unless your privy to every single detail of the fight negotiations, then you have no idea what this is "really" all about. Lets get all the facts and see whats what. I have a feeling that Oleg may not fear Peter as much as everyone thinks.
