Yeah, I understand your viewpoint. I feel the same way for now.
But for history, it's more important for Floyd to get the lineal championship in the weightclass he's at, because otherwise you're just a titleholder.
If Margarito had been the linear champ, Floyd would have fought him.
If not, he probably wouldn't have moved up...

Margarito is a solid, rugged, strong and tough fighter. He is no pushover, regardless of the lack of skills.
A good chin, hard punches, high punch-output and relentless pressure always makes for a tough opponent. Today, yesterday, 50 years ago; a tough fighter is always that... a tough fighter.
