It was a hell of an "asswhooping" but mayweather himself said gatti was a B fighter or whatever so not sure how much it counts as an asswhooping vs a one sided fight

Uhm, 140 is the only division where he wasn't the lineal champion.

130 he beat Genero Hernandez (the lineal champion)
135 he beat Castillo (the lineal champion)
147 he beat Baldomir (the lineal champion)
154 there is no lineal champion, but Oscar is probably the best a 54 as well.

So don't knock Mayweather for not being the lineal champion at 140, when Ricky Hatton who held that position at the time, openly stated he didn't want to fight Mayweather.
        whats a genaro hernandez.

        castillo..(contraversial much????)

baldomir and gatti (can anyone be an easier fight for floyds style)

Oscar (past prime flat footed) somewhat contraversial decision aswell..

not knocking the guy, but facts are facts.. Fight Shane Mosley FLOYD !!!!

if zab gave him all he can handle its obvious why he avoids shane.. Hatton is the safe smart route, like he been doin his whole career..

It was ****ing brutal to watch. Some of the other suggestions or alternatives had some real bombs thrown in them, but to me the real brutality of this fight was the lack of really powerful shots, watching gatti picked clean and WISHING floyd would land a haymaker for his own good.
It wouldn't suprise me if gatti was thinking the same, being smashed from pillar to post is one thing but how soul destroying must it be to get took apart like that without one single shot big enough for you to get counted out without the crowd getting on your back or losing self respect, so you gotta stand there and take it indefinitely. Horrible

I really didn't think it was all that bad. It was a mismatch, but I've seen a lot worse beatings.

Tyson vs. Biggs. Its one of the only times I've seen Tyson toy with an opponent and not put his away when he had the chance. Well he put him away in the 7th.But he was smiling and talking **** to Biggs the whole fight.

Can't believe no one has mentioned Ali vs Terrel.

Though yeah, Dempsey vs Willard was probably the best ass kicking ever.
