Uhm, 140 is the only division where he wasn't the lineal champion.

130 he beat Genero Hernandez (the lineal champion)
135 he beat Castillo (the lineal champion)
147 he beat Baldomir (the lineal champion)
154 there is no lineal champion, but Oscar is probably the best a 54 as well.

So don't knock Mayweather for not being the lineal champion at 140, when Ricky Hatton who held that position at the time, openly stated he didn't want to fight Mayweather.

Not even close. In the history of boxing, there have been much worse beatings even in closer fights. Toney beat down Jirov much worse, although it was a close fight. Roy's fight with Bryant Brannon was worse. Klitschko on Mercer was worse.

now hopkins beating the piss out of trinidad, that was an ass whooping.

same with calzaghe vs lacy but that one too could be a little one sided, lacy wasn't ready for that fight, he was hyped and moved too quick.
