Which fight was more surprising? Arce vs Mijares or Vic vs Donaire?

Both Mijares and Donaire came out like lightning from the blue, striking both opponents with shocking defeats.

Donaire may have outboxed and KO'd Vic for 5 rounds so that should be the bigger suprise. But mind you, once you all realized what you've all been saying before - Vic is not that polished as a boxer. A brawler, yes. So it was a matter of time before he ran into a boxer who could tame the bull.

Arce has better boxing skills than Vic so for someone to just come in and outbox a boxer like Arce is saying a lot. Arce can brawl if he has to but he will box. They way Mijares just schooled him for 12 rounds is a hell of a surprise to me.

Arce needed to take a warm-up fight before stepping in the ring with Mijares. He made a mistake, he wasn't ready because his fight before Mijares was a joke fight where the guy wouldn't even fight him.

Doesn't Darchinyan want a rematch with Donaire?

nonito's KO victory was BIGGER surprise ...

almost nobody and no one gave him a chance, even the us Filipino fans prior the fight only gave a slim chance to beat vic ...

Arce.....When a fighter is knocked out you can say "its boxing and anything can happen" "it was just a lucky punch, he caught him coming in" But when a fighter is BRUTALY schooled for 12 rounds and shown he was a lesser fighter is suprising since Arce was on an absolute tare as of late

no way it was a lucky punch, VIC was getting caught by that left hook from round 1, and even got caught by a big one at the end of the third, nonito was shooting for that hook the whole fight...

I think Arce not able to adjust to Mijares was my biggest surprise. Arce is such a pitt bull in the ring with some boxing savy. He's been fighting since days of Michael Carbajal! You'd think he'd be able to adjust!

For Vic, well, in retrospect, Gabi had a blueprint to beat him - outbox and don't get caught. And that's what Donaire did. The icing was the KO.
