Get Ready For The Discrediting After Wlad KOs Brewster!

The haters become very predictable after a while. I predict we'll be hearing them say:

    1) Brewster was a shot fighter - too many fights

truth: Brewster has had far fewer fights than Wladimir and many other heavyweights

    2) Brewster was paid to take a dive

truth: Lamon is an honorable man - a good Christian man who wouldn't take a dive

    3) Brewster has an eye injury

truth: according to himself, Lamon's eye injury was completely healed months ago! Brewster says he's 100% healthy and his doctor agrees...

    4) Brewster is past his prime

truth: Brewster is younger than many top ranked heavyweights, and 11 years younger than Holyfield and five years younger than Maskaev. He's only a couple of years older than Wlad...

    5) The fight with Lyakhovich finished Brewster

truth: Lyakhovich doesn't hit nearly as hard as Wlad (only 13 KOs), he's the Malignaggi of the heavyweight division (jab and back up style) and is incapable of doing permanent damage to anyone! Most heavyweights have been hit for 12 rounds by much stronger heavyweights than Serguei - for example, Wlad in his battle with the powerful Sam Peter...

    6) Brewster was suffering from ring rust because he was off for a year.

truth: Lyakhovich was off for longer, a year and a half, before fighting Brewster! Brewster says he's had some top sparring partners and he's as well prepared as he can be... I wish the Wlad haters would have as much class as Lamon and not make excuses...

The truth that some people don't want to accept is: Wladimir Klitschko is a top level heavyweight!

I don't have to wait until the fight is over. Brew has been off for a year, was legally blind in one eye for at least some period of time and has been in a number of BRUTAL fights so has more wear (number of fights is different than number of shots taken). That said, who else was Klit gonna' fight? I wrote in depth about what this fight means as a win this week for Wlad; he still needs the winner of Chagaev-Ibragimov to seal the deal and end debate.

This post is typical of what I'm talking about!

Who said Wlad isn't a top level heavyweight? Maybe historically he's not (yet) but today nearly everyone agrees he's the #1 contender to the vacant throne. What more do you want? Shall we all line up to fellate him, worshipping at the feet of a guy who got stopped by Purrity and Brewster and got avalanched by Sanders? Is it wrong to be hesitant on bequeathing greatness on THAT guy? You go ahead and start the line and feel free to take more than one turn while the rest of the world approaches this rationally.

It doesn't matter if Brewster is as of today a tier 1 heavyweight or not it's still avenging a defeat.

Brewster is a legit top ten contender, the fourth he has faced in five fights (Austin was not). That's a heck of a run. But honestly assessing where Brewster MIGHT be in his physical life is not 'hating.'

Discredit or not, the fact remains that Brewster has had a lay off for more than one year. This might very well play a factor.

I somewhat agree with this......I mean Brewster is going to be rusty there is no doubt but I think he may suprise many and give Klit a pretty tough fight......I think Klit will stop him sometime between the 7th and 9th round but not before getting clocked a few times and maybe even dropped.I am very excited for this fight......

Oh and avenging a defeat can be misleading; does Chavez-Randall III really mean anything.

Does it? I've never seen that fight, and don't really know the circumstances of it.
