In truth,it just smart management for Hatton...fans be damned.
I hope i am wrong, but this fight doesnt look like it will happen at the moment, think about it.

If Warren is involved with Ricky, which he most likely will be otherwise team hatton would have been sued, he wont want to risk letting ricky fight mayweather yet, that makes no sense to him, because it kills his cash cow, if Hatton lost to mayweather in November, Hatton's value could drop alot, why would warren risk that in ricky's next fight, it makes sense for Warren to milk him and make money off him before he risks it all against mayweather.

      Good for Warren

      Bad for the Fans.

I disagree for one reason only. Mayweather is going to be tough catch. It's now or never and Warren's gotta know that. His retirement was always bull**** but Warren must know that is doesn't take much for Floyd to turn down a fight and another delay will probably do it.
This is probably more fluff to imply that there are other fight options to theoretically improve bargaining power. DLH was calling Hatton too. Both fighters play this game and it's all just part of negotiations.

          You think so?

You think Warren is playing a game?

Cos this game makes no sense, If hatton loses, warren loses profit on his biggest cash cow, why would he risk that 1st fight after getting hatton back on track? Wouldnt he wanna make some money off him 1st THEN consider risking it against mayweather.

Because looking at Warren's track record of protecting his fighters, this fight is in trouble perhaps.

I just can't wait until they fight and floyd just beats his ass......it will make my day. Hatton is a fraud, protected hbo fighter.
so you think they'll fight, yet you are calling him a coward?

i wouldn't read too much into Warrens involvement just yet. i don't think a fight with mbaye will happen personally, because i think that will interest hbo about as much as junior witter. even the french probably don't get excited about mbaye.

if he fights anyone before mayweather, it will be malignaggi.

Hatton's Contract with HBO is up is it not?

He is totally a free agent, although im sure HBO would love to have him,

Lemonchiff who claimed this was gonna happen weeks ago was talking about a possible deal with Showtime i think.

You guys do realize that Hatten had a contractual agreement with Frank Warren...and basically breached it. He is getting sued for millions of dollars which is why he is doing this for Warren.

Well we dont know if this article is true, to be honest that arguement doesnt wash, Hatton called out mayweather most likely knowing full well what the situation with the Frank Warren court case was, if he thought the case would be settled and he wouldnt be fighting floyd next, he shouldnt have called him out.
