    Calzaghe-Kessler on Showtime? Calzaghe-Dawson?

HBO may have dropped the ball when it refused to up $5 million dollars for the super middleweight unification clash between unbeaten champions Joe Calzaghe (43-0, 32 KOs) or Wales and Mikkel Kessler (39-0, 29 KOs) of Denmark. Dan Rafael reports that HBO's exclusive negotiating window is now up, and their network rival Showtime is making a serious move to get the fight. [details]

good hbo deserves to lose this. Why in the world would you not want to show a significant fight.

Won't happen. Coward vs Coward jus doesn't happen. At least Calzaghe is old enough to have some better victories and stop fighting unknows from europe.

This fight isnt significant in America unfortunatly thats why. If Dawson can really move down to 168 then make it happen. Dawson is the real deal.

dawson is a much better fighter than kessler, if joe takes this fight il give him a lot of credit. imo dawson is actually the hardest fight out there for calzaghe. i really doubt warren will let this happen. you dont see anyone else taking on all these top young hungry fighters at this stage of their careers.

Showtime will probably pay 3.1 mil for this fight.
