I haven't been watching him for long - a couple of years - but he's become one of my favorite fighters. He's tough and aggressive and always entertaining, although he looked tired in the late rounds of the Urango fight. Don't pay too much attention to the haters, the better he does the more they will criticise him, it's just their hateful envious nature.

Forgot exactly when but somewhere around a year or 2 before he fought Tzu. I know a guy that trains under Graham with him and he had dvd's and stuff that he use to bring me on a lot of UK fights. Particularly the exciting fights. Hatton was on many of these.

The 1st fight of his that I remember is the Magee fight. That may have been the 1st time I saw him and he got dropped in that fight. He didnt hug nearly as much back then but like one writer said, "the better the opponent the more he will hold".

He is a very good fighter and does have mad skills but he is somewhat flawed. He leaps in alot and he has nice head movement when he wants to but alot of times he'll just keep his head straight up.

I think he's a very good fighter but he's just short of a great fighter. I think he will struggle against the top guys at 147. Again, people put it on the weight but I completely disagree. He'll struggle because all of those guys are easily better then anyone he's ever fought and he cant just overpower them. I still think he looked good and like the same ole Hatton against Collazo but he just struggled because Collazo is a very good fighter and he couldnt overpower him like he does the little guys at 140

Hatton is himself a little guy, he's a much smaller man at 5'6'' and reach 65'' than Collazo who is 5'10'' and reach 74''. The Hitman was at a disadvantage, but still managed to win the fight with some difficulty. Ricky can defeat anyone his own size without a problem.
