Some people over who at ESB who really did watch it on Russian TV via satellite dish, say Povetkin looked great, and it was an entertaining fight with Sasha throwing an unusually high number of punches for a heavyweight. They say only the first round was close, and after that Povetkin dominated, with Donald saving himself from being knocked down a couple of time in the later rounds by clinching.

I love Russian fighters. See I even put in the proper capitalization. I have nothing against foreign fighters @ all.

Who the fack is Sasha...isnt his name Alexander? I could have beaten Donald that night. All hes missing is the gray hairs. He was basically a heavy bag for Povetkin. This fight proves nothing other than hes cannon fodder for Klit.

ok i have watched it now, povetkin looked ok but he only hurt donald about 2 times and never looked in danger of going down, to be honest povetkin reminds me of a better version of brock he doesn't do anything amazing just everything good except his defence, i cant see him being anything other than just another abc belt holder. oh the fight was bloody boring.

I'm in about round 3 and not impressed @ all. A younger Donald would have had his way w/Povetkin.

I dont see what all the hoopla is about.

Maybe the fight gets better...but as it stands I give Povetkin about a 6 on a scale of 1-10.

Man, Donald looks old as ass.

Povetkin had decent power, but he's not even touted to be a real knockout artist. No problem to go the distance if you win all the rounds.

Boxing is about knockouts. If he can't knockout an old man who runs out of gas, then how the hell does Povetkin expect to handle a top level contender who is still in his prime?

Povetkin's problem is lack of skill not lack of power.

When all the haters start creating negative threads and posts discrediting a boxer, it's actually an indication that he must be doing well! That's because the haters are losers who have achieved nothing in their own lives, so they are bitter toward anyone who is successful.

Ever notice they never attack the mediocre fighters? And that the better a fighter does, the more abuse he receives?

Who receives the most negativity on this forum? Mayweather, Hatton, Taylor - the best fighters, all three are Ring Magazine champions!

So the hateful posts and threads are only just beginning for Povetkin, as he has more decisive victories and moves up the ranks, they will become more and more frequent.

same here I cannot believe he couldnt finish donald at his age...povetkin is a highly touted Olympic Gold medalist.

But hey even tyson had to fight the distance as well on occassion.

Give Donald his due, fellas. He's a tough fighter, and a fighter not being able to KO him isn't something be ashamed of at all.
