I think Morales is shot those Wars have taken it out of him, and also theres no way in hell that anyone could claim Mayweather was shot if Hatton were to beat him, he has never been in a war in his life and has handpicked his opponents since he has moved up

Morales is shot in the same way Castillo is. He can't make 130 comfortably, has been in a lot of wars, and he's too small to compete at lightweight...

Like I said earlier I give Hatton tons of credit for beating Castillo it was a very good win for Hatton.

However Castillo was clearly a shot fighter. Those who dont recognize that are blinded by there love for Hatton.

With that said Hatton gets credit from me for the decisive manner in which he took out Castillo.

Like I previously posted you can't discredit Hatton's win vs Castillo while simultaneously praising PBF for his win against an shop worn (and never elite to beging with) Gatti.

Both fighters earned respect from me in those respective fights for the manner in which they won and not by the mere fact that they won. They both won decisively and impressively against guys they should've beaten, which is exactly what I expect from an elite facing a non-elite.

de la Hoya is past his best days, but would still beat any fighter 147-154 no problem. Cotto, Margarito, Spinks, Simms, Karmazin, Baldomir. It dosn't matter. You could even argue that he beat Mayweather and Mosley, and many people would see it that way. Oscar looked fantastic against Mayweather except when he stopped throwing the jab. No way in hell is he washed up, but he is a little older now and of course that is going to make him fight differently. He is still damn good, just not the same guy that manhandled Chavez.

Castillo on the other hand is shot. I hate to say it, but he is done. He should fight some B level bum and retire.

Hatton needs credit for making Castillo look shot. Those body punches aged him before our eyes.
Castillo did say he was in greatest shape he had been. I told you he shouldnt have said that, because if he lost to Hatton he would make himself look silly.

The problem with your arguement is that this wasn't the begining of Castillo looking shot. Castillo looked shot and was claimed to be shot since his Ndougo (sp) fight.

Many people have said that. Hatton does get credit from me however for how he defeated Castillo not in just defeating him.

To me PBF-Gatti is the same as Hatton-Castillo

They get credit for winning decisively and dominatingly not for simply winning.

Apart from Gatti at no part of his career would ever have tested PBF like Castillo tested PBF.
Hatton must also be given credit for downing Castillo who has never been down. Castillo could have had continued to fight past his prime and any boxer who would have had the ability to stop Castillo would need to be given credit.

Erik is def past his prime, no question. If you watch the Erik Morales from 3-5 years ago compared to now you can see the difference.

As for shot? I guess I do believe so.
And I think Manny was the one who put the nails in the coffin. Morales is going to trade when it's possible, and at this point because of the damage he's taken in all of his previous fights then the wars with Manny, trading isn't going to favor El Terrible. Much like Castillo, I cringe when Morales was getting hit. In the past, these guys have had iron chins. But you can see that when they get tagged it takes a little longer for them to recover as opposed to the punches not even bothering them. Ngodjou brought that out of Castillo and I think Diaz would be better suited to try and draw Morales into that war.
