guys i think we just missed this fight from actually happening ...

if EM beat MAB on their 3rd fight, Erik could have jump to lightweight at that time ....

and who knows they could have in some point REALLY fought each other...

pea was not in his prime weight either.

to me jcc met his master in an uber-slick, unorthodox, tough southpaw ring-master ...with the legs of a middleweight (very important if you have to deal with jcc for 12 rounds) and the deepest bag of tricks in eras.

Imagine if Erik squared with Juarez, JMM, Larios, etc.

        He could've beaten them all...

But the thing is...he fought PAC 3 ****ing times...during his last 5 fights...
Raheem made Morales look shot too, buddy

erik beating jmm? highly doubt that, and for sure not after 2004...
maybe, MAYBE when Morales he just moved to 126 and was wrecking the division

You have made that up. But, nice try.

Just for the record, Chavez was 31 years old and had just destroyed Haugen (and beat Camacho) when Pernell outclassed JCC.

So please: stop with the revisionist history. JJC was still a top fighter when Pea beat him.

Erik Morales had his way in sparring with Mayweather at SFW?

I'm am going on the record as saying that it did not happen.
I would like to be proven wrong, please.

And will gladly admit to being wrong....if I am.

Think it would of been a very tough close bout, but give a slight edge to Mayweather on speed & size.

Morales's toughness, chin, workrate & solid power make up for a lot of it, but not quite enough.

There would a a clear size difference, as easily witnessed in the Chavez bout
                  - Mayweather clearly bigger, where-as Morales the same size.
Added to Mayweather's speed advantage think it would enough to win him a close decision.

Do not see Mayweather coming close to blowing prime Morales away as some people think - Morales had one of the best chins in boxing & dealt convincingly with speedy fighters previously.

Some of your guys' posts are simply ridiculous(lol) First off, before EM's first PAC fight, When were the other times that Morales faced "speedy" fighters??

Listen up people, if Morales didn't have such a great chin, Prime 4 Prime Mayweather could end it between the 5th and 7th round, otherwise it could end in 3 rounds. Morales does not deal w/ movement too well, he has shown this throughout his career. Mayweather knows to go for the kill, unlike Zahir, who literally allowed EM to recuperate when he had him staggered against the ropes in the 2nd round.

Morales gets blown out by Mayweather, I don't see this going to the cards, and its gonna be an ugly beating, similar to his second fight w/ PAC or the kinda beating Corrales took when he faced Mayweather. EM's jab, although a solid one(depending on who he's fighting)Mayweather will counter it w/ lead left hooks and right straight all night, it may not even take all night.

I saw a video interview of Freddie Roach, when he was preparing PAC for his rematch w/ PAC. Freddie was dissecting EM's jab, and freddie said that EM has a "heavy jab" , meaning, that when EM threw a jab and the arm is fully extended, that it drops and EM tends to leave it hanging(we're talking milliseconds here) . If you look at any EM fights, pre-prime, prime, or "past prime", EM has always thrown the jab the same way. Floyd would have a field day everytime EM would throw a stiff jab, I see left hooks all day

And man, oh man, Mayweather is the king of counter-punching. Floyd's counter-punching is what's made Floyd a multi-millionaire, and of course, a "little bit " of cat-like reflexes doesn't hurt either(lol).
