[QUOTE=werewolf;2479710]cracks will appear again when he faces a Sanders type fighter

there really are no awckward southpaws with that sneaky type left hand power that sanders posessed. I still think wlad would have fared much better if he would have just jabbed and waited sanders out,,instead of loading up on his right hand. thats how he walked into that left. still,,,it was a clean stoppage,,,,the only real clean stoppage wlad has suffered. the other 2 were pretty much just a matter of him gassing. anyway,,,its a shame they couldnt have rematched right away becuase that loss really seems to have defined wlad more than all his 48 wins and 43 knockouts

The IBF has #1 and #2 vacant, Brewster #3, then Brock and Byrd, so it seems credible; not that he would vacate, but that Calvin or Chris would be his mandatory.

i dont think that brock and byrd will sign that fight

brock is obviously inline for shot at the WBO, and probably rated top 5 or 6 by WBA and WBC? he knows he stands a good chance of beating the other champs but a minimal shot of beating wlad....

same goes for byrd, if he thinks he can be champ again he is certainly angling for anyone not named klitschko... he basically admitted he couldnt compete physically with wlad and cried about how he should go back to cruiser.

another klitschko fight for brock or byrd is equal to career suicide

You don't think they're counting on him to drop his belt? Chris Byrd is only ranked by the WBC other than the IBF, and that's at #14. He may figure his best bet for a payday is to take the eliminator, even if he'll lose the title fight again. Byrd would fight Klitschko again I'm sure, and lose to him again I'm sure, but he was never avoiding him - just not wanting to fight in Germany when he held the belt. Brock is ranked #9 WBO and not ranked by the WBA, so when those belts are unified, how does that put him close to a shot? (On a side note, Kali Meehan being ranked by the WBA and Calvin Brock not - wow. Did CB not even bother with the sanctioning fees?)

That's what I said. The quote fragment you misatributed to me was what I was responding to.

The bum's rush routine that worked on Golota ain't gonna work on Wlad and if he tries it he might get himself KO'd right then and there in round one.

Want to bet on the fight? I pick Wlad you pick Brewster.

I'm with you on this, ww. PBDS and I were discussing the possibility of a round 1 KO just last week. It COULD become a tough fight, but if Brewster gets too ambitious too early he's going to get hurt.

yea,,,,,wlad is a good counter puncher and loves to time his right hand as his opponent is coming in ( espescially earlier in his career before the sanders fight) so brew maybe better off trying to take wald into the middle rounds and wear him down. I dont think the kamikazee idea will work here,,,,too good a chance he gets caught coming in ala derrick jefferson and frans botha etc

On Brew's strategy, I disagree with you guys and think that the "kamikaze Golota bumrush Corrie Sanders" strategy may be his only chance at victory. Klitschko of recent, is a slow starter and usually gets in his rythmn after a couple of rounds; when he gets started he's established his jab and is throwing the right hand more frequently and with more athority...

Brewster cannot win once Klitshcko gets into his rythmn and starts throwing the "steel hammer down." Therefore, he's got to come into the ring nice and warmed up, and has got to pick his spots early and go on the offensive and get Klitshko off balance. If he is able to do this, then he better 'go for broke' and start throwing some bombs before Klitshco has a chance to adjust.
