I think that picture of Hasim Rahman with his shirt off is affecting your judgement.

Dont tell anyone that ricky hatton never came to the US looking for paydays, seriously now.

He has the chance for the fight he's always wanted and now he's doing this?
Actually, Hatton isn't doing anything. The offer has been made by a promoter currently not attached to Hatton so try getting your facts straight. As for going over to America, there were plenty of reasons for doing it but the primary objectives were for Hatton to raise his profile in the States and to get the opportunity to fight in some of Boxing's Pantheons. Hatton is now more well known in not only America but also in Great Britain which makes it more lucrative to fight in Britain now than it was two years ago when he beat Tszyu.

You have to have PPV buyrates before they can go up. The guy came to America for exposure and TO MAKE MONEY. I'm not saying he wasn't making money in England, but his biggest paydays have come here. The money for these fights comes from casinos and big sponsors which is one reason why the biggest, most important fights are in Las Vegas. He wanted the fight, now he's doing everything he can to avoid it. What a joke.

Hatton's promoter made the offer so I say Hatton meaning his "team."

Hatton is a more exciting fighter and a bigger draw. He should receive 60%, PBF 40%.

SOME of the money comes from insider sponsorship deals and things of that nature from the casino's and corporations, but it is trivial compared to the gate that a match in a soccer stadium will do.
