The best present-day ***ish boxer is up and comer Dmitriy Salita, who may have superstar potential. He'll probably have a title by the end of 2008 (he's already rated #3 by the WBA).Last edited by Steelhammer86; 06-28-2007, 05:50 AM.Comment

I agree with the mother things. I grew up in long island NY and my mother is Irish but everyone calls her a ***ish mother because she shielded me and my brothers from stuff growing up. I remember i got a tattoo when i was like 18 and i think she had a minor stroke. As far as ***ish fighters go, yeah i think pro boxer is the LAST thing that a mother wants for her kid ***ish or not. In my opinion though the ***ish heritage is the best at steering their children toward education as well as good jobs.well there's some guys coming up now, for example dmitriy salita who I follow pretty closely. also yuri foreman, roman greenberg and zab judah. but the holocaust kind of killed the flow of ***s to this country, 6 million is a HUGE blow to a minority who's population is now only about 14 mill. the poor, hungry ***s from russia and poland were massacred during the pogroms earlier. and many ***s see pugalism as something for thugs, so when ***s as a whole in this country got their money... that would be my explination. also do you know how hard it is to convince a ***ish mother to allow you to take up boxing? she would KICK YOUR ASS, look at EVERY SINGLE ***ish boxer during that pre- 50's era and they all changed their names so their mothers wouldn't find out they were boxing haha.Comment

There was a semi battle of ***ish fighters when Yuri Foreman fought Anthony Thompson. Thompson is an African Hebrew Israelite of Jerusalem. They think they are one of the last tribes of Judea. As for the ***ish mother thing I'm running into the same problem. My mom is ***ish and thinks its outrageous I would ever start boxing. But anyway nice to see my Hebrew brothers here boxingscene.comComment
