Ricky will not see the late rounds

    Mozza,

    Be careful.

I think PBF was , on some level, still concerned early about Gatti landing that ONE punch. Up to that point, gatti was probably the most dangerous puncher PBF faced.

But after eating punches from Judah and Delahoya, PBF knows that his chin is WAY good enough for anything that Hatton may land.

Ricky is in trouble. Seriously. This is a fight that Ricky should have (or still shouldn't) taken. Ricky is too small, too limited, too slow... just "too".

Hatton landing a body shot? When's the last time you saw PBF take body shots?

I saw Mayweather take body shots from De La Hoya and I think they troubled Floyd despite him trying to smile it off. De La Hoya himself said that he knew Mayweather felt those shots. If (and I know it is a very big if) Hatton is to beat Floyd I believe the key to success will be through sustained body attacks througout the fight. In my opinion this is the way to beat Floyd and I think the only two fighters who have a chance of pulling it off are Hatton and Cotto. Of course there is a danger that Hatton will get caught too often while looking to unleash these body shots but I do not think it is outwith the realms of possibility that Hatton can hurt Floyd before Floyd hurts him.

          Good post,

For me floyd was a bit lazy in that fight an tried to be a bit macho, personally he didnt cover the body well in enough in clinches for me, but de la hoya's defence was outstanding that night, and he still got hit hard towards the end, hatton may have to take some serious punishment to get near floyd, and floyd is expecting hatton to rush him, its the ONLY way hatton can win, and that may be his downfall, he doesnt have options, he's gotta chase floyd all night, and the reality is, guys have been doing that to floyd his whole life, some of them hit harder than hatton, but they all lost.

Floyd can out**** hatton imo, he can box him, he can do both, he can counter, he can win the fight anyway he wants, as long as he stay fit, trains hard and comes in healthy, i cant see hatton being able to land too much on him.

            Mayweather vs Hatton

Floyd is going to destroy this man just like he did gatti. Hatton doesn't really want to fight him, neither does cotto, if u remember the gatti fight they both was there at ringside and both look scared. they was suppose to fight him after that fight but didn't because they new what was going to happen to them if they did. cotto's corner had said that they didn't want him fighting floyd, and hatton ran off to another weight class. hatton has been ask several times does he want to fight floyd, and he never gave answer. every time floyd going to fight some one people are always pumping up the other fighters, calling them the best, saying there going to knock him out. but then when floyd wins what do yaw hatters do... you down play it, you say the person he fought wasn't really that good, or was old. 34yrs is not old, but since floyd won on may 5, it is all of the sudden? come on now! just face it, floyd the best fighter pound 4 pound.

38 have tried 38 have failed.

"There's a lot of big fights out there," he said. "But ultimately my goal is Floyd Mayweather Jr He's regarded as the best pound for pound fighter, so who wouldn't want to fight him?"

That looks like an answer to me.

It's shameful that Mayweather is already trying to maneuvre himself out of a fight by making a statement that Hatton doesn't really want to fight him. He's already making the "I'm being ducked!" noises so he can claim that he's being ducked when negotiations don't get made.

It will be criminal if this fight doesn't get made. But Hatton could have the last laugh by beating Malignaggi then fighting Cotto at MSG.

Mayweather called Hatton out 3 times in the past. Guess how many times Hatton took the fight?

This is the 4th time. If Hatton doesn't respond now, it's beyond cowardice if there is such a thing.

OH. Delahoya said it? That seals it then.

Floyd was on the ropes and Delahoya slapped ineffectively at Floyd's waist. Rounds and rounds were going by without Oscar landing any effective bodyshots. And I would respectfully challenge you to tell me which two rounds were Oscar's BEST bodypunching rounds and we can count up the punches.

Oscar landed a total -TOTAL - of 122 punches in the fight. But at least he did what everyone else failed to do: land 10 punches a round on Floyd.
