HOLLYWOOD, FL - This October, Seminole Warriors Boxing, Golden Grain Promotions and Sampson Lewkowicz, in association with Universum Box Promotions, will promote the first heavyweight title unification bout in close to eight years when WBO champion Sultan Ibragimov faces off against his WBA counterpart, Ruslan Chagaev, in Moscow, Russia. YYYYYYYYEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
this is a huge step for heavyweights.
my thoughts: about the fight, its intriguing, both guys are similar in skill and very similar style, both beat bigger opponents by boxing from the outside but unlike spinks or other p4p fighters, they looked inpressive doing it.
    - im beginning to like this warriors promotions thing, i like what theyve done with miranda, now these guys, kudos to warriors.
    - i do not know who to favour here, probably chagaev. based solely on the fact he beat ruiz, and valuev, not drew with ray austin and beat balco briggs.
This will also force klitschko (or brewster if he pulls off the upset) to fight the winner, as the winner has a legitimate claim to the throne.
    AWESOME NEWS!

Wow, what awesome news this is! This just made my week!!!

I give both fighters 'mad props' for putting it all down on the line and not taking an 'easy' fight as their first defense. This is just the fight that the hw division needs...

This is probably the best fight you can make excitement wise too. I think Chagaev wins by late TKO.

Kudos to both of them.....they are showing tremendous heart making their first title defenses against each other.Should be a great fight too......I kind of favor Chagaev but this one is too close to call.

This is a dumb match. The only people interested in the outcome are living in Eastern Europe and most of them don't have enough money to pay for a ticket. Both of these guys should be lobbying for a big money fight with Klitschko. If they actually go through with this match, one of them may never get a chance at Klitschko.
