You're right it is a fairly even match and will be a close fight. Although I agree that Chagaev will probably win, I give him only a slight edge (5 to 4.5 odds) and it will by no means be easy. People underrate Ibragimov for some reason. I think it's partly because of his appearance - he looks like an average guy not a tough fighter. I think his training with Mayweather will help him prepare for this fight and I wouldn't be surprised if he upsets Chagaev.

thats because there's still some geniuses on here that look at nothing but the austin fight in which sultan came in much too heavy 230+ lbs and looked awful. most of these same people were so sure briggs was going to blow him out early. anyway,,,,this is not going to be a one sided fight in either direction. both guys are much too evenly matched for that. its a competive fight with chageav getting a close nod in my opinion

I have to admit I'm one of those geniuses. It's just hard to get the Austin fight out of my head. I gave Sultan a chance against Briggs, but I did think Briggs would hit him more than was the case.

Yes, and Sultan looked okay in the early rounds of the Austin fight, although he was at a huge reach disadvantage. Austin isn't as bad as a lot of people make him out to be, lots of people have been KOed by Wlad it doesn't mean they're bums! Austin hadn't lost a fight in six years before fighting Wlad, although I think Sultan was robbed of a deserved win against him.
