So, it is not POSSIBLE that the fanbase that RH has that travels around with him is due in part to him being white?
I couldn't help but notice that Lennox Lewis never drew that kind of support, despite being a much more accomplished boxer.
Of course, that on its own means little. But if you add in some of the overt racist behaviours both in the stands and on the pitch in many UK cities, it does lead one to wonder if the British sports culture has become somewhat divided.Comment

I don't think there can be any doubt that people feel greater affection for people they can relate to and I would like to think that Hatton's popularity is more to do with his personality and talent than his skin colour. I guess Calzaghe will be more popular in Wales then Hatton though, but that doesnt make the Welsh racist. It makes them patriotic and theres a difference.Comment
