But he doesn't have the experience of fighting in front of a 90,000 fan live gate. A fight at 2am in front of 90,000 fans would be a once in a lifetime experience. And the money would be there from gate reciepts, sponsorship and of course the PPVs. Oscar would make close to his usual money, but he'd have done the big live fight.

Again: Saturday afternoon is a TERRIBLE time for a PPV boxing match. It would DEFINITELY adversely impact sales.
Give that validity, or toss it in the trash.

-people who don't work (and generally don't have money to pay for it)
-people who leave work early and have a short commute.
People who don't leave work early or don't have a short commute won't be ordering it. You may think that they’re a 'minimal' section of the people who order PPVs. It seems obvious to me they’re not.

Good point. The impact wouldn’t be the same on a Saturday as on a Friday with regards work.
The fact is though people have schedules and they fit activities into schedules. They'll plan their schedules around certain events if they're important enough, otherwise not. You maximize the revenue by not only getting die hard fans who will watch at any time but by getting casual fans that will watch it if it’s convenient. DLH-Mayweather just broke all the records because it succeeded with casual fans.

Additionally, I think it is a disadvantage for the traveling fighter to fight in the middle of the night. Tszyu showed up a week prior and fought at a time when he was normally sleeping.
Fighters go to bed early and wake early to do roadwork. No excuses, but Zoo short-changed himself by adapting to that 2am fight schedule.
Side note: did anyone notice the post-fight press confernce when Arum called Wayne Rooney "the best footballer in the world"? I threw up in my mouth.
And I'm disappointed in Rooney for not immediately slapping Arum.
