Castillo-Corrales I the greatest fight ever

I have five favourite fights with almost nothing between them- Arguello-Pryor, Morales-Barrera, Gatti-Ward, Castillo-Corrales and Frazier-Ali. There's almost nothing between them, but I'd have to go with Gatti-Ward. As is mentioned, the mouthpiece incident with Corrales slightly taints the victory, but it's still damn awesome.

They finally admitted it on HBO. Lampley said all of the experts he'd spoken to called it the greatest fight they ever saw. I remember saying the same immediately after the fight. That year, everybody was saying stuff like it was great but not even top 10. Give me a break. It was the best ever. Don't be mad just because you didn't see it live (although no night in boxing can ever top that one). Call it what it is.

Keep in mind, fights generally don't get the respect they deserve until years later, but if the experts already call it the best ever after 2 years, just think where it will be in 10 or 20. I don't think any fight will ever top this because there's nobody with more heart than Corrales and a better chin than Castillo. That's what made it so good.

I put the Thrilla In Manilla above Castillo-Corrales I. It was one of the best fights ever though. Everyone has a different one. I think it may be the best fight in my lifetime unless you think Gatti-Ward is above it.
